The Round Garden design as the names suggest explored the client’s request for a curvy design theme set within a walled London garden. A new basement requires access via a bridge with a frameless glass balustrade, plus technical challenges of drainage and dealing with a derelict site.
The Center stage is a water feature by Aqua Globe that is set over a stainless steel dish that animates and illuminates. Bespoke limestone strips and segmented paving with gravel infill are complimented with limestone wall copings by Rockford Stone – that have integral LED strips.
Curved retaining walls with handpicked stone cladding by Stone Source set amongst lime mortar. Boundary walls are a mixture of Porcelain tiles from London Stone clad a preexisting wall, and cedarwood fencing by Contemporary Fencing infills the voids. Bespoke laser cut metal panels with leaf motif pattern by Stark and Greensmith cover the columns and are brought to life with led color-changing light providing creating different moods in the evening.
A bespoke Oak swing seat and pergola by Simon Thomas Pirie tucks in neatly and additional garden lighting by Delta Light adds accents on fencing and inground.
The garden is accessed via a bridge over a basement, with patio doors that open up making this a true extension of living space inside. Otherwise, full-height large glazed doors and windows allow the garden to be read as a picture window to the inside space.
Fantastic clients, great contractors, excellent suppliers, and everything come together in a beautiful way.
