Steven Kingsley has an artistic and design background, coupled with business and personal interests in many areas of the arts. At Kingston University he gained an honours degree and subsequently a post graduate diploma in landscape architecture as a precursor to working in as a Landscape Architect in private practice.
During his professional career he completed the necessary exams to become a member of the landscape institute (the governing body representing Landscape Architects in the UK) and use the protected title of Chartered Landscape Architect.
His designs have a strong modern and contemporary styling that are inspired through site context, history and artistic explorations. His work explores the relationships between architecture and nature and between the informal and formal using the latest technological and environmental solutions.
Steven has a considerable portfolio of projects from over 15years commercial experience and has worked alongside some of the leading Architectural, Interior, Engineering and design practices.
At Philip Cave Associates, Steven worked on the landscape design of Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 and Concourse 2 and several urban mixed use scheme within the UK to award winning residential and commercial projects such as Paragon – winning 3 major design awards.
Subsequently at Scape Design Associates, Steven’s work included International hotel, resort and hospitality landscapes and other high-end residential and masterplanning projects.
In 2005, Steven entered and won 1st prize in the highly publicised Dover Sketch Ideas competition for a the £50 million national lottery grant for the peoples millions.
