Studio Concept as Landscape designers were commissioned to design a modern formal landscape and garden associated with a large family house in Surrey. The house is an exclusive private estate in an idyllic rural setting and the arrival space is defined with modern bespoke gates, entrance feature wall and contemporary boundary treatment. The driveway is surfaced in Granite setts with reflective quality and organised by a grid that has at its center a water wall feature – accompanied by specimen trees and and neat clipped topiary.
High quality landscape materials create a solid and contemporary feel that reflects the character of the property. The rear garden design has a feel and mood in line with hospitality landscape spaces found in spa’s hotels or resorts. The landscape terrace is cleverly organized into an outdoor lounge with fire pit, a sun terrace for lounging and afternoon tea and a dining area that includes an outdoor fire place and a feature and heat source. The rectangular formal event lawn is defined with on its boundaries with clipped tree’s, evergreen hedges, modern seating and a bespoke garden shelter.
The rear garden design is organised as a retrained and modern formal layout with design features on its axis. The numerous features and clever organisation of space provides the clients with ample opportunities to entertain at different times of the day and throughout the year and also serves the different members of the family.
